“BLUE SKIES AND BRIGHT STARS!”

Copy of Copy of DSC04758.jpg

Since 2016, our mission has been to become the first collegiate rocketry team to send a liquid-fueled rocket past the Kármán Line (100 km above sea level) into outer space. We want to show the world how far space technology has come since the first space age, and challenge the public to imagine a future where access to space is no longer reserved for governments and multi-billion dollar corporations.

Our team continually proves its ambition, determination and resilience. Since its inception, SEB has completed 20+ successful static fires and 12 launches, including the launches of Eureka-1 and Eureka-2, our first liquid bi-propellant rockets - and a first for UC Berkeley.

SEB leads the way in innovative projects and solutions, from our in-house-developed automatic electronic regulators, to our ability to throttle and thrust vector control our engine, to our custom sensors and telemetry system, to flying fully additively manufactured rockets.

We have begun the development of our spaceshot rocket, Eureka-3, breaking new ground with a fully upgraded GSE test stand, revamped avionics systems, and more durable structures… and featuring our regeneratively cooled engine HEAVYBULB.
